Volunteering

Uruguayos Unidos relies 100% on volunteers to do its work. Without volunteers there is no charity! We are always looking for new people to join our ranks and become part of this great organisation. Not only you will be making a huge difference to those that need it the most, you will be meeting new people and learning new skills. There are many different roles within Uruguayos Unidos that perhaps can suit what you want to do, from events organisers, coordinators and volunteers, to warehouse helpers, note keepers and even helpers/web admins to maintain the website. If you have any doubts about what it would involve, please email us and ask us.. We'll love to hear from you!

Why volunteer?

Help

Volunteers can help in many ways, not only you will be helping people, but you can learn new skills, meet new people, provide career and live experience and also did we say it feels great!?

Make a difference

Volunteering with us will make a huge difference in helping us achieve our collective objective of helping those centres that need it the most.

Happiness

Helping others kindles happiness as many studies have demonstrated. When researchers at the London School of Economics examined the relationship between volunteering and measures of happiness in a large group of American adults, they found the more people volunteered, the happier they were, according to a study in Social Science and Medicine.

Testimonials

Volunteering with Uruguayos Unidos feels great! I love the feeling of knowing you are making a difference.

Juan Saavedra Uruguayos Unidos Volunteer

I started helping at Uruguayos Unidos in 1999. Since then I have met many very hard working people, with whom I share the desire and determination to help hospitals in need in Uruguay.

Pablo Rodriguez Volunteer

I have been with Uruguayos Unidos for a few years now, met a lot of people, participated in events as volunteer and seen first hand how donations improve day to day life in hospitals across Uruguay. It's a great feeling being part of this work.
